Acceptance of these terms
By accessing this site, taking the Leafline quiz, or subscribing to a monthly tea collection, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version is always posted here with a revised effective date.
What Leafline is
Leafline is a monthly tea-subscription brand operated by SteepOS. We offer two recurring tiers: Sampler at $39 per month (three teas, one ritual collection) and Full Ritual at $79 per month (six teas across all three ritual collections). Both are billed monthly through Stripe Subscriptions.
The Leafline quiz is a short questionnaire we use to recommend which ritual (Night, Focus, or Restore) is the best starting point for your month. The quiz is informational and does not constitute medical or nutritional advice.
Account & ordering
To subscribe, you provide a name, shipping address, email, and a payment method through Stripe's hosted checkout. You are responsible for keeping your shipping address current — undeliverable shipments returned to us are reshipped at your expense or, where shipping is uneconomical, refunded as store credit.
You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for safeguarding the email tied to your subscription. If you suspect unauthorized use, email hello@leafline.tea immediately.
Pricing & auto-renewal
Subscription prices listed on /pricing are in U.S. dollars. Your subscription renews automatically on the same calendar day each month (or the last day of the month if your sign-up day does not exist in a given month). There is no free trial and no introductory discount.
You may cancel at any time from your account, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — the box you've already paid for will still ship. We do not pro-rate partial months or refund unused portions of a paid period, except where required by law.
If we change a subscription price, we will notify active subscribers at least 30 days before the change applies to their next renewal. Continued subscription after that point constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Shipping
Leafline ships within the continental United States free of charge. Boxes leave our roastery on the first of each month and typically arrive within three to five business days. We currently do not ship to PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses, Alaska, Hawaii, or anywhere outside the U.S.
Risk of loss and title pass to you when the package is handed to the carrier. If a package is marked delivered but you did not receive it, contact us within 14 days and we'll work with the carrier to resolve it.
Returns & refunds
We want you to love every shipment. If a month's collection doesn't land for you, reply to your shipment email within 14 days of delivery and we'll either replace the box or credit your next month — whichever you prefer. Replacement shipments are limited to one per subscription per quarter.
Because tea is a consumable, we cannot accept returns of opened packages for resale, but we will always make it right if something is genuinely wrong with your order (damaged goods, wrong shipment, severe quality issue).
Intellectual property
All content on this site — the Leafline brand, the quiz, the ritual copy, the photography, the original essays — is owned by SteepOS or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and trade-secret law.
You may share links to Leafline pages and quote brief excerpts for personal, non-commercial use, provided you credit Leafline and link back to the source. You may not reproduce the site wholesale, republish the quiz commercially, or use the Leafline name or marks in any way that suggests endorsement without our written permission.
User conduct
You agree not to use Leafline for anything unlawful, to not attempt to disrupt the service or its security, to not impersonate other customers or our staff in any communication, and to not use automated tools to scrape the site or submit false quiz responses at scale.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where reasonable, we'll give notice first and explain what we'd like to fix.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Leafline is a curated tea service. The information on this site — including tasting notes, ritual descriptions, and quiz recommendations — is provided for general informational purposes and is not medical, nutritional, or therapeutic advice. Consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leafline and SteepOS disclaim all warranties (express or implied) regarding the service, and our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of Leafline will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

We may update these terms as Leafline evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and announced by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect for existing accounts.
